Tricia Wheeler elevates everyday living into
something extraordinary.
As a wife, mother, author and lifelong entrepreneur, Tricia knew that her story would encompass building a life around her family, the culinary arts, travel and sharing everything she loves with the world.
Even in the early days of her first business, her carefully planted peonies adorned her desk as a reminder that life is special and meant to be celebrated. After her first business was acquired in 2007, Tricia moved to New York City to attend the French Culinary Institute, where she went on to graduate first in her class.
She loved the kitchen's energy and had the desire to share what she learned; upon her return to Columbus, she founded Edible Columbus and The Seasoned Farmhouse cooking school.
The magazine highlighted the way lives are touched by fresh, locally grown foods, encompassing everything from the farmer's field to the dining table and the journeys in between. The magazine was acquired in 2018.
Her cooking school, The Seasoned Farmhouse, is dedicated to inspiring cooks and gardeners. It offers 200 new classes each year, and its 30-week French cooking series has graduated over 200 "home chefs." The school uses the changing seasons as a canvas to create classes that teach fundamental techniques and explore other cultures through food. When things slowed down during the pandemic, Tricia wrote Peaceful Dinners to help answer the question on everyone's mind, "What's for Dinner?" It is a system of menus, shopping lists, and recipes to bring you around the table four nights a week. Both The Seasoned Farmhouse and Peaceful Dinners share Tricia's sensibility that learning to cook well is a lifelong skill that will bring you and your loved ones immense joy.
As a passionate collector of antiques, china, and unique objects, Tricia and her team create extraordinary events in her own English-inspired Back yard Garden in Columbus, Ohio, from boutique weddings to sit-down dinners under the stars.
Tricia began traveling in High School as an exchange student in Australia, her love of learning about food and culture has taken her all over the world. Tricia hosts culinary, cultural and antiquing trips across the United States and Europe. From the charming English Cotswolds to the seaside towns of Montenegro and the sun-drenched Italian countryside, Tricia creates magical itineraries filled with exceptional food and unforgettable experiences.
